We are looking for **Sales and Product Development Manager** to join our Support Center Team located at:
**Green Field Produce - 12151 Horseshoe Way, RIchmond BC V7A 4V4**

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
**Responsivities of this position include but are not limited to**:

- ** Developing export program requirements and protocols**
- Identification and list of potential partners
- Confirmation of commodity allowance into importing countries
- Require documentation for entry
- Logistic options and cost
- Workflow map
- Sales, cost, and profit analysis and reporting
- ** Developing business partnerships domestically**
- Identification and list of potential strategic partners or alliances
- Identification of items for sale
- Coordination logistics and procurement of those commodities with GFD Buying team and Warehouse
- Ensure proper backend account setup and payment terms are in place
- Develop protocol and contingency plan in case of rejection of goods
- Identifying and establishing system to leverage logistic costs savings with partners (shared freight; GFD coordinated; potential fee)
- Protocols for set up and workflow map
- Sales, cost, and profit analysis and reporting
- Develop and cultivate high-value business relationships
- Provide insight strategic business initiatives to grow profitability - food safety, carbon footprint reduction, sustainability practices, etc.
- Attend and contribute in strategic management meetings
- ** Explore and create proposals on any other profitable business opportunities or **areas**.
- With new programs developed:

- Sales at least $1,000,000 annually
- Margin minimum of $100,000 net of all costs
- ** New product research and development**.
- Find new strategic vendors to bolster category competitiveness
- Make initial contact, establish the foundation of relationship, and coordinate with Buying team on first month of orders
- Monitor and report on progress of turnover, sales, and profitability
- Work with Marketing team on launch campaign and collateral
- ** Key Performance Targets for Year one on 4.**
- ** Among new vendors and products developed**:

- ** 24 **new vendors found and purchased from**:

- ** 24** new items found and purchased**:

- ** Cumulative sales on new items of at least **$500,000** annually (pro-rated)**
- ** Educate store and consumers on products sold; be a company and product ambassador and advocate**
- Visit stores and speak with staff to educate on key selling points of Kin’s products; inform them what makes them unique to competitors
- Communicate with customers on product features and benefits
- Help competitor check and provide findings to head office teams
- Grow the store business so GFD sales grow with it
- Liaise between store and marketing to produce effective product information collateral
- ** Store turnaround support**
- Access store community growth potential
- Report back on key alliances initiatives prior to approach
- Reach out to strategic community partner businesses/groups to drive business growth at community Kin’s location
- Work with operations and Store Manager to implement on these new opportunities and product execution improvements
- ** Key Performance Targets for Year one on 5-6**
- ** Work with the bottom **six** stores to improve their business performance over the course of the year. Can spread it out or tackle one or two at a time.**:

- ** From the baseline at outset, target **7% growth** by the end of the year in **sales**.**

**QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION**:

- Have a valid driver's license.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Business or Sales & Marketing degree or diploma, or equivalent combination of related training and work experience.
- Industry experience.
- Experience in a purchasing/buying role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Great team player with good people skills.
- Self-motivated person, work well independently with minimum supervision.
- Good planning and prioritizing skills
