**Position Overview**:
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive On-Site Project Coordinator / Project Assistant to join our team and support day-to-day site operations. As an On-Site Project Coordinator / Project Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth site operations. You will be responsible for coordinating workers and subcontractors, managing material procurement, scheduling transportation, enforcing safety protocols, and reporting progress to the Project Manager and company leadership. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Coordinate and supervise** construction workers and subcontractors on-site.
- **Schedule and manage** transportation logistics for materials, equipment, and personnel.
- **Monitor construction progress** and ensure work aligns with project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- **Ensure compliance** with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe job site.
- **Procure materials and equipment** as needed to meet project timelines.
- **Communicate regularly** with the Project Manager and company leadership, providing real-time updates on project progress, site issues, and workforce needs.
- **Conduct site inspections** to monitor work quality, resolve on-site issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- **Maintain accurate project records**, including labor hours, material usage, and site conditions.
- **Support additional construction-related administrative tasks** as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
- Proficiency in construction management software and digital tools is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license (class 5) and reliable transportation.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, Fall Protection) are an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
