**CHALLENGES TO BE MET**
- 3+ years’ payroll experience
- 1+ year experience with Ceridian, preferably Dayforce
- Processing the full cycle of bi-weekly payrolls for salary and hourly employees in an accurate and timely manner
- Processing the full cycle of semi-monthly payroll for the Front Line Sales Force agents
- Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts
- Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
- Communicate actively with key stakeholders (HR and Finance) to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
- Administers various payments - ad hoc or scheduled - such as additional bonus pay, STD pay, retro pay, vacation pays, etc.
- Responds to inquiries from internal departments and site management regarding payroll matters in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner
- Benefit Administration using Canada Life platform (update Canada Life records, reconcile invoices, adding new employees, etc.)
- Prepare and facilitate ‘adhoc’ reports and analysis as it pertains to payroll and benefits
- Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)

o Use data to trend and determine action items

o Review and analyze employee survey data

o Determine actions
- Process payments to third parties - RRSP/Pension, as well as, ensuring that deductions are in accordance with provincial and federal legislation and corporate policies
- Ensure that monthly and year-end regulatory filings are completed on a timely basis
- Ensure that internal controls are complied with for all payroll processes
- Responsible for all benefits, pension and compensation administration
- Ongoing annual analysis of benefits program to continue employee satisfaction and cost effectiveness
- Present improvements and concerns to manager for buy in and approval
- Special projects as assigned and other duties as appropriate and required

- 3+ years of full cycle payroll experience
- Ceridian Dayforce experience is required
