**About the role**

We are looking for an experienced **Account Executive**to join our growing **Commercial**team

In this role you will be responsible for sales, prospecting, and servicing a commercial lines book of business. You will develop and maintain a meaningful list of prospective customers, close sales in the commercial area, and provide excellent and timely customer service. This would include acting as a liaison between the customer and the insurance carrier when there may be claims.

This hybrid position is available at any of our offices in the **Southern Alberta**region**. Please note that the role requires travel in and out of town.

**What you’ll do here**:

- Sell commercial insurance policies, develop and maintain a prospect list
- Build and maintain excellent customer relationships, including visiting customer sites and supporting customers with the claims process
- Keep abreast of market knowledge, products, and pricing issues and opportunities
- Prepare proposals, and arrange for account placement with the insurance carriers
- Gather and document relevant information to ensure the customer receives the appropriate coverage's and service
- Maintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices
- Arrange payment terms for new business sales and the timely collection of payments

**What you bring to the table**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ commercial insurance sales experience
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License
- AIC Level I or 2 General Insurance License
- Ideally have one or more of CIP, FCIP, CAIB or CCIB
- Exposure to Epic is an asset & Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
