If this is you, look no further as we are recruiting for a Commercial Lines Account Executive in our Edmonton branch.
As a Commercial Lines Account Executive, you will utilize your sales skills, industry knowledge and experience to grow an existing book of commercial clients. This position is supported by an Account Manager where together the team will deliver an exceptional client experience and take responsibility for the overall growth of the book.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Initiate and develop new commercial client relationships
- Provide advice to clients on insurance matters, products, and coverages
- Complete new business submissions to markets that meet the needs of clients and close the sale
- Collaborate with the CL Account Manager on client service requirements
- Follow up on client accounts to resolve outstanding matters, including collecting payments
- Up-selling of products and services to new and existing clients
- Generate client referrals through community involvement and events
- Meet or exceed individual sales targets
- Remain up to date on product knowledge and build relationships with insurance providers
- Commit to self-development through internal training and industry education
- Resolve client concerns
Your Unique Talents:
- You have a proven track record in commercial insurance sales
- You seek out account development opportunities with existing clients
- You build relationships within communities, through networking and service, and by supporting local businesses
- You are confident, professional, and interactive in client-facing meetings
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- You are a strong team player with the ability to adapt to and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders
- You do well with structure and accountability
- You are familiar with current technologies; Experience with Epic is an asset
- You have extensive knowledge of insurance company products, programs and payment plans
- You have obtained, or are pursuing a Level 2 General Insurance license
