Are you a highly motivated and efficient individual with an eye for detail? We are seeking a detail-oriented Research Assistant to support our team with research projects focused on regulatory charitable gaming rules. This part-time role is perfect for current 2L or 3L law students who want to roll up their sleeves and gain real-world experience in an in-house environment. As a Research Assistant, you will work closely with our legal team to analyze and research regulatory requirements related to charitable gaming activities. This position offers flexible hours to work around your class and study schedule and the opportunity to work remotely.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough yet efficient research on federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to charitable gaming activities.
- Compile and summarize relevant legal information related to charitable gaming rules and regulations.
- Monitor and stay up-to-date with changes and updates in charitable gaming laws and regulations as needed.
- Perform administrative tasks related to research projects, including data entry and organization of legal documents.
- Attend meetings as needed regarding charitable gaming regulation projects.
- Assist with other projects on an as needed basis

**Your Experience & Skills**:

- Enrollment in a JD program at an accredited law school, preferably in the 2L or 3L year.
- Strong research skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex legal information.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work efficiently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge or interest in nonprofit law, gaming law, or regulatory law is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of producing accurate and well-organized work.
- Proficiency in legal research tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M4Y 1L8
