St Albert, Canada Bridge to Care Full time

Bridge to Care Inc is a Faith-based Not for Profit Healthcare Organization that provides childcare services to families who have children/young adults with autism.

You will work collaboratively with the parents and Program Coordinator to develop and implement strategies to help the clients overcome significant social, cognitive and behavioural challenges. You will have the freedom to propose and design appropriate activities and will work one-on-one with the children in our placement homes, as well as public settings as appropriate.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Supervise and ensure the safety of the children at all times
- Lead structured, age-appropriate and developmentally appropriate, play-based activities
- Provide extra support for children, as needed
- Light housekeeping, meal prep, medication Administration
- Engagement in social activities

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Patience and temperament to work with children on various developmental levels
- A valid Non-Violence Crisis Intervention Training Certificate is required
- Experience with Autism
- Experience tutoring or helping children with school work is an asset
- Experience working with children in a group home, school camp settings
- Experience working with special needs children
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Canada work authorization
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sectors (Within 6 months)
- Clear Child Intervnetion Record Check(Within 6 months)
- First Aid and CPR level C required
- Reliable Vehicle
- 2 million liability Insurance required

Availability of days, evenings and weekends is mandatory.

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
