The Accounts Payable Administrator works as part of a Finance Team and assists the Finance and Property Manager with accurate and timely financial information that supports the effective and efficient financial management of the Health Unit. Responsibilities include all aspects of processing accounts payable/receivable, preparing journal entries and inputting all data into the general ledger, ongoing general ledger maintenance, analyzing and monitoring expenses versus budget(s), receiving and shipping of goods, monitoring key control, coordinating conferences, while adhering to the policies and procedures of the Health Unit.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Secondary School Diploma;
- Post-secondary college diploma in Business Administration/Accounting;
- Minimum 4 years experience working in an administrative position;
- Knowledge of accounting principles, including financial controls, financial reporting and asset management;
- Strong financial reasoning skills, good judgement, and demonstrated initiative;
- Knowledge and proficiency in accounting software. Experience with ACCPAC Financial System (Sage 300) is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy;
- Solid problem-solving abilities and ability to set priorities;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently, with mínimal supervision;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and public relations skills, with capacity to maintain harmonious relationships with vendors, suppliers and contractors;
- Strong time management and organizational skills;
- Able to deal with many competing demands in a calm, professional and independent manner;
- Ability to handle work in a professional manner with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality;
- Knowledge and proficiency using the Internet and various computer programs in a Windows environment; in particular proficiency with Excel spreadsheets;
- Excellent keyboarding and file management skills;
- Up to date immunizations, according to the Health Unit’s Employee Immunization and Mantoux Skin Testing Policy;
- Criminal Record Check;

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $29.97-$35.10 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
