**About Peters First Nation**:
Peters First Nation (PFN) is a small Sto:lo community committed to enhancing the health, wellness, and cultural vitality of our members. We deliver community programs that support youth, families, Elders, and all members both on
- and off-reserve. We are seeking a **Program Coordinator** who is passionate about community development and has a strong background in program planning, administration, and engagement.

**Position Overview**:
As the Program Coordinator, you will lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of programs in areas such as health and wellness, youth engagement, cultural revitalization, and capacity building. You will work closely with Chief and Council, PFN staff, and external partners to ensure programs are culturally relevant, accessible, and aligned with our community’s goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Plan and Deliver Programs**: Create, coordinate, and evaluate programs and services for PFN members.
- **Community Engagement**: Build relationships with members, encourage participation, and promote programs through outreach, newsletters, and social media.
- **Partnerships**: Collaborate with other First Nations, government agencies, non-profits, and local organizations.
- **Administration**: Maintain program records, prepare budgets, and draft funding proposals.
- **Financial Oversight**: Monitor spending to ensure compliance with approved budgets and reporting requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary certification in Community Development, Administration, Social Work, Health, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program coordination, administration, or community engagement (First Nation experience strongly preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft reports and funding proposals.
- Knowledge of First Nation government operations and funding programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online tools.
- Valid BC Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of Sto:lo Nation and Peters First Nation culture, history, and traditions.
- Experience working in a small, close-knit community environment.

**Salary**:
The salary will range from $25 to $35 an hour, depending on experience.
