Our ideal Marketing Coordinator is a key point of contact for marketing related customer service and responsible for producing engaging & compelling written and visual content for a variety of Marketing & Communications purposes. **This role currently works in a dual capacity to offer Marketing Assistance to the team as needed, with opportunity and room to grow.**

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this is an in-person position located at our farm in Mount Hope ON (Hamilton). Our Marketing Coordinator will join a fast-paced creative team that supports multiple business assets for BigYellowBag, Greenhorizons Sod Farms & Willow Valley Golf Course.

The selected individual should be a creative self-starter with a passion for excellence and strong attention to detail. We are looking for someone who wants to think outside of the box. Job duties include:

- Create, manage and post regular content and messaging for all business brands.
- Respond to social media comments as required.
- Stay up to date with social media trends and current best practices.
- Demonstrate excellent judgment in determining content for posting.
- Stay on top of and responding to customer reviews through Google and other platforms.
- Work at times with mínimal supervision as a member of the Marketing team.
- Provide assistance & support as it relates to BigYellowBag’s Give & Grow fundraising program. This includes communications with partners, marketing promotions, cheque presentations, and system set-up.
- Assist the Marketing Team as needed for jobs such as, but not limited to: Managing an on-going media contact list, proof-reading, data validation, printing & preparing documents, laminating, research, etc.
- Degree or diploma in marketing, journalism, communications, business, public relations or related field.
- 1-3 years proven work experience in a similar role.
- Experience in writing and ability to proof read.
- Interest in gardening related activities considered an asset.
- Experience using Canva. Other design programs considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, grammar & punctuation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mount Hope, ON L0R 1W0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
