If you're passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic team environment, we encourage you to apply.Reporting directly to the **General Manager**, the Events Manager will lead the **Front-of-House (FOH) Events Team**, ensuring seamless and consistent event execution that upholds the highest standards of guest service and satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Event Management**
- Lead and oversee all events at GEORGE, ensuring adherence to service standards and protocols.
- Review and verify Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) one day prior to, during, and after events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for hosts during events, ensuring superior service throughout.
- Consolidate banquet orders and coordinate food expediting for events.
- Provide leadership and foster a positive, high-performance team culture focused on excellence.
- Train all new banquet staff and support their ongoing development.
- Collaborate with service staff to finalize BEOs and ensure accurate closing procedures.
- Liaise with the Executive Chef to manage guest feedback, complaints, and special requests. Report key issues to the Private Dining Manager.
- Work in partnership with the Private Dining Manager and Wedding Coordinator to organize weekly events.
- Continuously assess and implement improvements to event execution and service delivery.
- Maintain the appearance and readiness of banquet rooms and ensure proper setup for upcoming events and services.
- Responsible for end of event billing and deposits consolidation.
**Daily Operations**
- Actively manage the restaurant floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences—including food timing, presentation, wine service, and dietary accommodations.
- Oversee restaurant opening and closing procedures.
- Assume responsibility for managing lunch and dinner service when delegated.
- Optimize FOH labor costs through effective scheduling and staffing.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all food, wine, and beverage offerings at GEORGE and Verity.
- Serve as a liaison and resource for Events, Sales, Operations, Sommelier, and other departments in the GM’s absence.
- Support and mentor FOH staff to uphold service quality, product knowledge, and professional appearance.
- Control dining room flow, manage seating logistics, and monitor reservations.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure team readiness.
- Support and uphold service standards in the Members Lounge, collaborating with Club Management as needed.
- Be available to work opening and closing shifts depending on business needs.
**Administrative Duties**
- Program menus and floor plans in POS Jonas and OpenTable; generate reports and maintain system accuracy.
- Print and distribute all daily menus for GEORGE.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on regular updates and breakdowns of food menus.
- Ensure all FOH staff receive current and accurate menu information.
- Assist in maintaining and updating GEORGE and Verity’s food and beverage presence across digital platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Secrette, Instagram).
- Complete daily reports and oversee closing procedures for all Food & Beverage departments.
- Other projects as required.
