TK Events is made up of passionate event professionals including a roster of account managers and event managers, production leads, in house 3D graphic designers and developers along with a dedicated team of customer experience managers responsible for our event registration platform, onsite registration experience, analytics and reporting.

We are looking for a coordinator who has the event bug They are passionate about this industry, aware of the trends, hyper-organized, hungry to learn, leads with customer service in mind and has a get-it-done attitude.
THE ROLE
This role is for a 12-month contract for an Event and Social Media Coordinator with the opportunity to extend based on business needs and performance. The role is primarily remote with monthly in-person meetings, client meetings and occasional North American travel.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
As an Event & Social Media Coordinator at TK Events, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of high-impact events across major markets in Canada and the U.S as well as supporting social media for TK Events account.
This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow within the company, thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and enjoys the creativity of delivering seamless event experiences and social content that fosters customer engagement and brand presence.
With strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, you will orchestrate experiences that create meaningful for our clients. Your ability to coordinate logistics, manage vendors, and ensure flawless execution will be instrumental in delivering high-quality work that drives business impact.

REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years experience in corporate event coordination or relevant field
- Experience in agency or corporate setting
- Experienced working in Microsoft Office Suites (Priority: Powerpoint and Excel)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high quality standards.
- Personal integrity, initiative, leadership qualities and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to work flexible hours to support a global team.
- Meeting and events industry education/courses
- Remote position but some in person meetings required – ability to travel to Toronto for meetings
- On-site live event support could be required across North America – ability to travel
JOB DESCRIPTION: EVENT & SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
Event Coordination:
- Support the project team including documentation of event progress, monitoring milestones and deliverables
- Contribute to the development and preparation of client presentations including taking part in brainstorming sessions
- Take part in client meetings including regular status updates
- Utilize TK Events planning and project management tools
Event Logistics:
Assist in planning virtual and in-person events:
- Source and obtain supplier quotes/proposals
- Provide ongoing coordination around event logistics including but not limited to: venue management including food and beverage planning, offsite events, transportation, entertainment, suppliers, sponsorship, agenda management, speaker management, attendee packages and onsite management.
- Assist in the development of floor plan and room assignments
- Other project duties as required and assigned
- For virtual events – coordinating interactive components, speaker and sponsor coordination, and liaising with the account team and the agency design, development and registration teams on the design and production of virtual events.
Social Media Coordination:
Assist in social media management and posting
- Develop and curate content for TK Events social media platforms, including Instagram.
- Owning and managing social media calendar with posts on a day-to-day basis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (leadership, events, design) to craft social media content
- Craft compelling captions, posts, and stories that resonate with our audience while maintaining consistency with TK Events tone of voice.
- Monitor social media and industry trends, audience feedback and engagement, to continually refine strategies and improve our approach.
- Own community management, responding to comments, DMs, and mentions in a timely, authentic manner to build relationships with our followers.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including follower growth, engagement, views, impressions, and click-through rates. Use the data to make actionable recommendations for improving content and strategy.
