**Position Summary**
The Line Lead works as part of a team to meet the daily production goals. They must oversee designated production workers to complete one or more tasks that are part of product creation, finishing, inspecting or palletizing. They must report any problems or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor. Strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) is required.
**Reporting Relationships**
The Line Lead will have assigned production works report to them on a certain line/bay. They will then report to the Production Supervisor. They are expected to interact with other members of the leadership team, Quality Assurance department and staff as required to carry out their duties.
**Key Responsibilities**
Duties as described, included but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
- Starting up, setting up and stopping equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
- Ensure conformance to specifications.
- Pull damaged or non-conforming product off the line.
- Conduct Quality Control Checks and record data. Maintain accurate production and employee records
- Openly communicates with co-workers to inform them of anything unusual or potentially dangerous
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Adhere to cGMPs, SQF and HACCP written Program.
- Facilitates and directs team members work flow within the assigned department, including distributing work, disseminating information, assigning team members for absences, answering questions, and resolving problems within the work unit and enforcing company policies and procedures.
- Anticipates and reacts to production problems or delays, materials shortages and equipment malfunctions. Provides technical assistance for equipment malfunctions and expediting repairs
- Supervises, evaluates and trains the work group. Assists in accident investigation and corrective action.
- Promotes safe work environment and assure employees follow all safety policies and adheres to all OH&S regulations as part of the Supervisors responsibilities under part 3 of the act.
- If first aid certified; provide occupational first aid and investigate incidents reported to you. Complete preliminary investigation as per WSBC regulations.
- Provides a strong floor presence and understanding of the processes adequate to set the example for others to follow.
- Keeps management informed of developments as they occur.
- Follows and complies with all company health and safety rules & Provincial Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Follows and complies with all SQF/HACCP/GMP (Food Safety) protocols, policies and procedures.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Food safe certificate and HACCP knowledge are an asset.
- Fluency in the English language (both orally and in writing) required.
- High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, motivate employees and elicit work output.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of basic technology of area where assigned.
- Experience supervising employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedure.
- OFA1 or OFA2 an asset;
- Leadership experience an asset.
**Working Conditions**
- May require overtime on occasion when approved by supervisor;
- Requires physical fitness and mobility in the plant environment;
- Ability to lift up to 20 - 30 pounds from ground to waist
- Some reaching and lifting over shoulder (20lbs);
- A tolerance for hot temperatures; dusty environments;
- To stand and walk for extended periods of time while doing repetitive tasks
- A tolerance to working with diluted chemicals safely and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
**Shift Time**: Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
