Delta, Canada Monte Cristo Bakery Full time

Reporting to the Plant Manager, and supervised by the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead Hand at Monte Cristo Bakery will perform regular inspections on the production line, carry out quality checks, and ensure that all production-related processes and documentation are maintained accurately. **This is a full time, permanent role that will be based out of our production plant in Delta, BC**.

**Shift timings: Morning - Monday to Friday**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for coordinating the workforce working with the production supervisor to assign, direct, review and monitor work. Provide input to management regarding manpower planning.
- Ensures proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and provincial and federal guidelines.
- Be able to act as the back-up machine operator.
- Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Follow all process instructions, procedures and formulas to ensure all final specifications are met; provide accurate record keeping of lot codes, batches, quantity, weight, size, and date.
- Ensuring continuous production, optimizing machine output by meeting the required line speeds while maintaining quality of product.
- Shutting down and inspecting the machine at end of day making sure the machine is cleared of product.
- Inform immediate Supervisor and/or QC of any conditions that could affect food safety.
- Be a health & safety champion.
- Keep work area clean and organized.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Completion of secondary school may be required.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Strong knowledge of basic math skills.
- Capable of working on a computer and navigating through multiple screens.
- 2 years of food production experience - preferred.
- Ability to lift 20 Kgs.
- Able to follow and execute instructions.
- On-the-job training is provided.
- Experience as a machine operator, food and beverage processing is as asset.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: $22.12-$29.33 per hour
