Unlimited Medical Centres is seeking a fast-paced, energetic individual, with a Medical Office Assistant Certificate, to assist in our nursing station. This position is in the back to fill rooms, address physicians requirements for the care the patient is coming in for. We are a large clinic, the position is mainly on your feet. Seeking a joyful individual to join our glowing team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greet patients and escort them to their rooms
- prep for procedures / clean up from procedures
- anticipate physician needs
- label swabs for the laboratory
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical office assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with medical software such as Healthquest
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients and colleagues
