Social Media Specialist

The Social Media Specialist is a new role at **guard.me International Insurance**. Reporting to the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with the Marketing Strategist, the Social Media Specialist plans and executes digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels. This person will work closely with Marketing colleagues and other internal teams to optimize community engagement across all social media channels.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for translating marketing initiatives into a purposeful social media plan, creating engagement and brand loyalists on key social media platforms and supporting the overall growth and loyalty of the brand and business.
- In collaboration with the team, responsible for developing strong social media campaigns that gain immediate engagement, ensuring a strong content mix using innovation to deliver best in class social media plans which are fresh, relevant and exciting.
- Regularly testing the marketing messages to identify content and media that are best suited to the target audience across multiple channels.
- Measures the performance of social initiatives: traffic acquisition, user engagement, etc. by appropriate reporting methods to management and executive leadership.
- Creates weekly, monthly and quarterly plans on how guard.me can interact with customers across multiple media channels, regularly optimizing the approach.
- Maintains a 360-degree lens to marketing projects guiding alignment across online and offline initiatives, ensuring brand adherence and consistent tone of voice and image across all touch points.
- In collaboration with the Marketing Team, research and monitor competitor channels to ensure we are staying relevant and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Research audience preferences and monitor social media channels for industry trends.
- Stay up to date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness such as rules, regulations, new features, algorithms changes, etc.
- Works closely with internal teams to support content curation and creative development for other social channels (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok).

**Required Skills**:

- Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a Social Media Specialist.
- Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
- Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, French language an asset.

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years of experience with social media, with a focus on content planning and management.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency using different analytics tools.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Demonstrated organizational, data management, interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of international education sector is a plus.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
