**Marquis** is looking for a
**Financial Analyst** for our
**Scarborough** site.

As a member of our accounting team, the
**Financial Analyst** is responsible for analyzing, preparing, and reporting on financial results for use by management in controlling efficiencies and margins.

**Job type**: Full time, permanent, hybrid.

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FINANCIAL ANALYST**:

- Partner with operations to identify relationships between financial results and performance to identify opportunities for improvement;
- Analyze actual costs and develop a system and process to bridge estimated costs to actual costs;
- Develop new operational and financial performance indicators to facilitate decision-making;
- Lead the month-end process of the business unit and assist with annual audit requirements;
- Participate in the inventory management process;
- Provide accounting expertise to internal departments and business entities;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new management and analysis tools;
- Be a part of various continuous improvement projects and ensure proper integration;
- Prepare, analyze, and follow up on the business unit's investment projects;
- Support the team in the development of the annual operating and capital budgets.

**QUALIFICATIONS OF THE FINANCIAL ANALYST**:

- 2+ years of experience, in a similar finance/accounting role;
- A University degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Administration;
- Completion or working towards CPA designation is an asset;
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivots and Formula/Functions experience preferred;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines;
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills as well as good ability to interpret and communicate ideas.
