_Center Director - Childcare _
Nurturing Hearts Montessori is a large group childcare facility located on the grounds of Newlands Golf in Langley.

We are currently seeking an experienced Center Director (Facility Manager) who can support our teachers as they grow and learn alongside the children and families in our care.

Minimum 3 years proven experience managing a childcare facility required.
- a licensed Early Childhood Educator
- willing to learn and embody the Nurturing Hearts Mission, Vision, Values and Culture
- understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with managing a facility; including the commitment to the sometimes irregular hours and/or flexibility required
- confident in their skill sets and what they can bring to the growth of Nurturing Hearts
- familiar with the CCLR, JHSC, WCB and employment standard
- a big picture thinker, problem solver and positive leader in this challenging role
- Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): _
- staff on-boading from start to finish
- recruiting, interviewing, maintaining and supporting the develop of staff
- progressive accountability, performance evaluations and growth plans
- managing staff schedules, room ratios, and time-off requests
- monthly facility walk-throughs to check for licensing compliance and supporting of classroom's success
- overseeing of classroom logs, communications, and use of app for content according to established guidelines
- ensuring staff are completing weekly Record Keeping; including transition readiness documents in IT programs (noting gaps in learning and possible movements)
- facilitating teams to communicate with current families regarding the in-house transitions (ie. infant 1 to infant 2) and the gradual entries of new families
- acting as part of the SBT (school-based team) which liaises with families and community supports for the success of all children
- overseeing that NHM Illness Policy is followed by managing staff absences (required to facilitate phone calls until 9pm)
- connecting regularly with Team Anchors to support and address needs, culture & unity
- acting as the chief conflict management officer for staff
- working closely alongside the Managers of Adminstration and Finance as well as the Educator & Child Development Support team
- reports directly to the Chief Encouragement Officer (CEO)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $4,850.00-$5,375.00 per month
