Night Auditor/guest Service Representative

A Night Auditor holds the position of being the ambassador for welcoming guests for their overnight arrival. This position will entail problem solving guests concerns and proactively exceeding guests’ expectations throughout check-in, settling their room and food charges, balancing accounts, and preparing Front Desk systems for next day.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Complete all required checklists/paperwork during shift as required
- Responding promptly to all requests by guests and employees and informing appropriate contact of maintenance deficiencies, guest concerns or service issues
- Receive and process telephone and walk-in reservations, as well as checking guests in and out accurately ensuring guest satisfaction
- Posting and balancing charges and settlements for room, restaurant, and bar for guests’ invoices
- Maintaining files and resetting the systems for the next day’s operations
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our hotel’s facilities and features
- Properly complete and file End of Day Report to ensure each hotel department is accurately balanced and settled
- Review/record in Night Audit and Front Desk logbook to ensure thorough communication and follow up
- Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for associates and guests
- Complete all credit card transactions, direct bills, and no-show billings for the day
- Close batches for Restaurant and Front Desk
- Print accounting & sales reports

**QUALIFICATIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of accounting operations and mathFront Desk experience preferred
- Must be computer literate
- Ability to speak French is an asset
- Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Must possess an outstanding level of customer service, be punctual, and well-organized
- Must have excellent attention to details
- Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team environment
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural environment with co-workers, managers, and guests
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time

- Ability to perform duties while standing and/ or walking for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to lift weights up to 30 lbs, push and pull heavy equipment such as cleaning carts and equipment.
- Ability to stoop, bend, stretch, and lift while performing duties.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
