The Night Auditor will be the face of the hotel overnight and will be required to provide guests with exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone. You will also be required to reconcile and complete all daily transactions. You will assist guests by answering any inquiries and requests they may have which includes resolving issues and recording complaints.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Prepare the daily night audit proceedings and system back-ups.
- Audit, balance and report on all cash and credit operations to include but not limited to over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, postings, etc. and reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.
- Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits to ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Ensure any discrepancies are reported and brought to the attention of the Accounting Manager and Front Office Manager.
- Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports.
- Assist in taking and placing wake-up calls, as needed.
- Perform the duties of Guest Service Agent including check in/check out.
- Perform the duties of Bell/Door/Valet/cleaning/room checking.
- Have thorough knowledge of emergency and front office procedures.
- Ensure the safety and well being of guests and staff during the overnight period.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Completion of high school diploma or equivalency

Prior front desk or night audit experience is an asset

**Skills**:Excellent communication skills in English, French an asset

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills

Proficient or familiar with computerized systems

Demonstrated knowledge of guest service and a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations

Present a high degree of professional work ethic and image

Availability to night shifts any day of the week including weekends and holidays

Physical Demands:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds

Moving about the public areas

Handling objects, products and computer equipment

Remain statutory for extended periods of time

Bending, stooping, kneeling

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
