In this fractional Consumer Packaged Goods (Food) Operations Consultant role, you will help us achieve our operational goals and objectives
**About the Role**
The Operations and Execution Oversightrole will be an operations expert, obsessed with execution, wanting to contribute to a customer-focused, sales obsessed culture. With a bias for action approach, the role will be responsible for the oversight of the commercial and corporate services for the company. Through a strong Balanced Scorecard and KPI Metric based approach, you will lead and coordinate the day-to-day operating activities of the business. You will be an integral part of the management team and are expected to lead and engage with all team members.
**Responsibilities**
- Act as a trusted advisor to the management team, providing active, timely, and objective execution oversight
- Oversee all execution aspects of the commercial operations and corporate services, including, sales, marketing, product development, supply chain, procurement, finance, and corporate initiatives
- Ensure the ongoing management of all operational processes and staff that is focused on a culture of “can do” growth-based mindset
- Help align the organization to defined strategic and operational objectives by leading the set up and establishment of KPI metrics goals, to ensure compliance in delivering short/medium and long term overall corporate objectives
- Develop and prepare a weekly Operational Performance Report for senior management
- Perform as a conduit to the management team, providing regular updates, and acting with urgency, to keep operations running smoothly
- Develop and implement operational efficiencies, strong financial controls, resourcing strategies, and best practices that set the business up to scale for growth
- Work closely with supply chain to understand capacity planning, production issues and opportunities
- Work closely with sales management to understand customer requirements, Service Level Agreements, and customer service feedback for improvement
- Identify and analyze information to give early warnings of potential problems and recommend corrective actions
- Assist the organization in building and maintaining a positive company culture based on core values and company mission
- Work closely with the leadership teams to understand the cost and implications of quality control and production issues/opportunities while developing a plan to address these holistically
**Requirements**:
- At least 7 years' experience in an operations role gained in either a growth-based consumer brand or a high-growth small business backed with VC funding
- Operations experience with an emphasis on effective people management
- Superior leadership skills with a results-oriented outlook and a proven track record in leading the set up and establishment of organization wide KPI metrics/goals
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong written and oral communication skills required
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships both internal and external to the organization
- Ability to problem-solve and make sound recommendations pertaining to organization effectiveness using common sense and data-driven approaches
- Proficient with business software including Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams), Power BI, Zoho One, Slack, Quickbooks, CRM platforms and project management software
- Exceptional customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to quickly identify & prioritize key business development opportunities
- Strong planning, analytical, technical, and organizational skills
- High sense of urgency and results focused while working within a deadlines-based environment
- Works well with others and executes the vision and tactics set forth by the senior management team
