Commercial Paving Estimator/project Manager

Locally owned and operated paving contractor requires commercial estimator/project manager.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Search for prospective open tenders/bids
- Review and quantify drawings and specifications
- Understand contractual terms and conditions
- Assemble accurate and well organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner
- Provide clear detailed quantity take offs
- Organize sub-contractors quotations, negotiate to insure quotes meet contract documents and issue proper documented purchase orders
- Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and clients
- Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project
- Work with and deal with concerns of field personnel
- Formulate cost break down from estimates and for project progress
- Meet with potential commercial clients to discuss options for proposed services.
- Manage project(s) from start to finish.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience in sales and estimating in paving a must
- Minimum 3 years experience in the asphalt, roadway, driveway, interlock, curb and sidewalk sectors of the construction industry is a must
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and estimating software is desired
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint and Note
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

**Work environment**:

- Ability to work in an office and in the field in a fast paced environment with variable working hours
- Enjoy various challenges with a multi-tasked position from sales through to the completion of a project
