Coordinator/Team Lead

Role and Responsibilities

The Coordinator/Team Lead is responsible for the daily operations of the home. Leading a small team of personal support workers supporting a young man in his own home. You are responsible for attending to hiring, training, supervising and leading a team of dedicated associates and staffing supports. The Coordinator/Team Lead attends to human resource requirements, health and safety needs of the home and coordinates the scheduling of all medical, health maintenance, recreational and community services and supports for the individual, as well as maintaining good financial records and adhering to budget guidelines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in the human service, health care field or degree in related discipline. Experience working in the adult development disability field and a group home setting is an asset. At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory leadership role Valid First Aid, C.P.I. or Safe Management and a vulnerable sector screening. A valid driver license with a good driving record.

Preferred Skills

The incumbent must possess a person-centred approach. Possess strong computer literacy, budgeting and administration skills, have strong supervisory and leadership skills, be a team player, have experience supervising staff and utilizing a multi-disciplinary resource approach, strong conflict resolution, advocacy, negotiating and brokering skills are essential.

Additional Notes

The incumbent will need to have a valid driving license. There will be some onsite and off-site responsibilities, part of the position requires travel, and access to a reliable vehicle. Rate of pay will be reviewed after six months. None Smoking Household.
