Job Posting: Private Chef for Small School

**Job Title**: Private Chef - Healthy Meal Preparation for Children
**Position Type**: Approximately 16-25 hours a week. Can be standard dates (i.e. Mondays & Wednesdays)
**Start Date**: September 2025
**Reports To**: School Director / Administrator

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan weekly menus that are nutritious, well-balanced, and kid-approved, with an emphasis on fresh, whole foods.
- Prepare and serve **lunch and nutrition breaks** for approximately 17 children each weekday.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and food sensitivities (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian).
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen that meets local health and safety standards.
- Order, store, and manage kitchen supplies and ingredients efficiently.
- Communicate regularly with school staff and parents regarding menu plans and special dietary needs.
- Foster a positive, welcoming kitchen environment that aligns with the school's values of care and well-being.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a private chef, school cook, or in a similar role preparing meals for children.
- Strong understanding of child nutrition, portion sizes, and meal presentation.
- Food Safety Certification (ServSafe or equivalent).
- Knowledge of dietary needs, allergy protocols, and clean cooking practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly, flexible, and professional demeanor.

**Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required)**:

- Background in health-focused or organic meal preparation.
- Experience cooking in an educational or childcare setting.
- Ability to include occasional cooking lessons or food education for children.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $200.00-$270.00 per day

Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week
