Brickhouse Brewpub (a division of Upper Thames Brewing Company) is on the hunt for an enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen staff as a cook. Our focus is on providing our guests with an unforgettable dining experience in a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Our menu features high-quality, beer-infused pub fare and we offer a staggering 25 taps of Ontario craft beer; 13 taps of our own beer and 12 taps highlighting other craft breweries from across Ontario. Brickhouse also has a small brewing system on-site that produces beer for our taps.

Brickhouse Brewpub is located adjacent to Sally Creek Golf Course on the North end of town and is nestled at the foot of a new housing community. The building is a gorgeous and historic building built entirely of brick with an outstanding outdoor patio that overlooks the golf course.

**Job Duties**:

- Preparation of simple pub food menu items in a timely fashion, following menu specifications
- Preparation of large batch recipes
- Knife skills
- Experience working with fryer, grill and cold stations
- Experience with expiditing
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients and
- procedures.
- Stocking stations and preparing for service
- Inventory and ordering
- Supervising the kitchen and managing kitchen staff
- Assisting the Head Chef with menu creation

**Skills/Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years culinary experience
- Ability to follow instructions and multi-task while remaining focused.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 12-hour shift)
- Attention to detail and strong dedication to quality
- Exceptional time management and problem solving skills
- Exceptional leadership and delegation skills
- Exceptional problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Physical capability to lift heavy items over the course of shifts

**Work Conditions**:

- Flexibility with availability for shifts (morning, afternoon, evening, weekend)
- Shift length of up to 10-12 hours when necessary
- 40 hours per week
- Fast-paced work environment
