**Job Overview**
The Community Engagement Coordinator (a supervisory role) is responsible for providing opportunities for recreation activities for Lodge Residents of the Sylvan Lake Foundation. Ensuring a high quality of services is provided for resident safety, security, comfort and satisfaction. The Head of Community Engagement will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships between our organization and the community inside the lodge and outside. This position requires a dynamic leader who is passionate about community involvement and has the ability to develop and implement strategies that promote engagement and participation.

**Qualifications**:
High School Diploma or its equivalencies

Activity Coordinator Certificate or Related experience will be considered

Class 5 Drivers License

Mandatory successful criminal record check

physically able to perform duties

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Plan, implement & schedule recreation activities for the monthly calendar.

Delegate tasks to Recreation Staff as needed

Develop and Maintain Activity Procedures and determine risk analysis on each program

Adapt and modify programs to meet the needs of the residents

Recruit and coordination of volunteers (community or residents)

Communicating activities and volunteer opportunities to residents, family members, coworkers and stakeholders in the Monthly Newsletter

Collaborate with Resident Council as required

To use safe work procedures and comply with rules and regulations

To assist in emergency situations as directed by the relevant emergency procedure

Familiar with the use of equipment and chemicals

To function as a member of the team, working with Residents, Managers, coworkers, Volunteers and Community Groups to provide a positive work environment

Performing related duties as required

Pay: $53,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
