As our client base continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our dynamic team and to be a part of our growing office.
We are looking for a staff member to join our team who can take complete ownership of the full accounting cycle and manage payroll, communicate and collaborate effectively with peers and managers. A problem solver who, like us, is passionate about doing things right.
While there is no such thing as a 'typical' day in the life of the bookkeeper, your day may include:
- Managing and processing semi-monthly payrolls for staff (hourly, salary & commissions).
*Managing the full-cycle accounting function for our organization, working closely with management to prioritize your work to meet our deadlines and business needs
- Accurately recording client invoices, employee expenses and supplier invoices, and make sure supplier payments are made on time.
- Reconciling bank and credit card statements and analyzing balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Preparing government remittances for payroll, HST.
- Preparing month and year-end for our Accountant
*Solving accounting puzzles by researching and reconciling discrepancies and ensuring that the accounting is in good order.
