**Position: Human Resources Generalist**

**Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)**

**Description**:
The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for all HR related items for Canada employees.

**ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Handle all aspects of employee life cycle from onboarding, to performance management, through termination
- Benefits Administration
- Ensure payroll accuracy by completing payroll audits in partnership with the payroll department for semi-monthly payroll.
- Review corrective action documentation prior to delivery for all disciplinary actions
- Complete internal audits supply evidence for external audits
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Enforce company policies and procedures, and participate in review and development of policies annually.
- Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Processing employee status changes through the HRIS system
- Manage employee LOAs
- Provide HR related training to front-line employees and leadership
- Conduct employee relations investigations and provide timely resolution
- Partner with all departments to provide consultation for business processes, and provide guidance on employee management
- Educate, communicate and ensure all Health and Safety and COVID-19 protocols are followed
- Lead local efforts for AllianceOne/TP CSR program COTW
- eSat and culture
- Other duties as assigned

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education and Specific Training**
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

**Work Experience**
- 5-7 years HR related experience

**Special Certifications**
- Knowledge of local and national laws regarding payroll, taxes, withholding, deductions, garnishments
