Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collection Agent to join our team. As a Collection Agent, you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding payments and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable. This is a challenging role that requires excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Negotiate payment arrangements and develop repayment plans
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional and empathetic approach
- Update customer account information and payment records accurately
- Perform account analysis to identify delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and disputes
- Utilize accounting software to track and manage collections activities
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to data protection regulations
- Meet collection targets and deadlines set by the company

**Skills**:

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations tactfully
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively resolve payment disputes
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and best practices
- Familiarity with financial services and basic accounting principles
- Ability to analyze customer accounts and identify patterns or trends
- Strong phone etiquette with clear verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills for accurate calculations and payment reconciliations

**Salary**: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Benefits**:

- On-site parking

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
