As a Content Specialist, you are a fearless idea generator and hybrid storyteller. You understand how branding affects the strategy behind the message and communication - from product and brand development to marketing, promotion and signage. Your insight and creativity enable you to strategize, plan and craft compelling content that resonates with your audience, develops authentic relationships with consumers, creates brand advocates and builds communities.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the client to understand their objectives, business and industry (food/retail experience is ideal)
- Leverage analytics to build marketing strategies, drive traffic and increase/retain customer engagement
- Track KPIs and measure success of marketing initiatives by using reporting and analytics
- Build and manage cross-platform content and social calendars that are forward-thinking and in-line with current and future trends
- Take ownership of marketing/creative briefs and answer them to the highest standard
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of project objectives and devise creative solutions to achieve them
- Provide editorial, creative and technical support to team members
- Collaborate with creative and social media teams to brainstorm and share ideas in a respectful and supportive way
- Develop and write original creative content stories, from supers to long-form editorial copy, for products, recipes, events, online, social, digital video, print, etc.,
- Resolve problems independently, consulting with the client and/or Creative Lead

**Education & Qualifications**:

- University degree/College diploma in copywriting or marketing communications, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years copywriting experience within the food, grocery and/or nutrition industry
- Experience with strategizing integrated marketing campaigns, content strategy and development
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who constantly explores the latest marketing and socio-cultural trends
- Passion for storytelling and the ability to express ideas through words and help brands convey their message
- Adept at keyword placement SEO best practices
- Experience with social media management
- Excellent professional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and astute with e-communication
- Extremely detail-oriented, accurate, efficient, organized and quality-focused
- Superior time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work according to deadlines
- Willingness to see projects through to the end and able to work longer days or weekends when required
