You will be part of a distributed team of diversely skilled individuals who pride themselves in their breadth of knowledge, troubleshooting skills and positive attitudes. You’ll be the face of Colas IS Support in Quebec, interacting directly with our internal customers daily to provide exceptional, on-site customer service for a variety of technical issues.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide technical support for JWS Apex and COMMANDseries, including dependent systems and hardware such as Windows 10, Printers, local network, workstations.
- Assist users with problems around process understanding and end-user transactional issues.
- Travel to our locations within Quebec to resolve critical issues on a moment’s notice.
- Install and Configure JWS Apex and COMMANDseries for use at our sites.
- Lead projects around improving site efficiency using software, such as implementing Automation technology such as RFID Readers, IP Cameras, Wireless Loader, AutoID.
- Train end users on the JWS Apex and COMMANDseries software, including scale operators, dispatchers, salespeople, and accounting staff.
- Update or create documentation internally and for end-users as needed for the software systems you support.
- Coordinate with the larger Manufacturing support team located throughout North America as needed.
- Analyze trends to improve both the support process and user training
- Empathize and communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Multitask effectively to ensure no customer is forgotten and no project undone
**Education and Experience**:
**Required**:
- 2 years of experience with Scale Ticketing Software (such as JWS Apex or others)
- 2 years of Windows Desktop support experience
**Desirable**:
- Experience with IT software technical skills (software implementation, software support)
- Experience with Concrete Dispatch/Ticketing software
- Experience with COMMANDalkon solutions including JWS Apex, COMMANDseries, and MOBILEsales
- Experience with Automation technology such as RFID Readers, IP Cameras, Wireless Loader, AutoID
- Strong SQL Skills
- Strong Report Writing skills (Crystal Reports, PowerBI)
- Project Management experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or IT field
The Regional Support Team often works irregular hours to effectively support all of Colas’ operations. The Technical Support Analyst works with his manager and the business to ensure that coverage meets the needs of everyone, so schedule flexibility is required.
**Skills/Qualifications**:
- Must have problem solving skills with ability to analyze and recommend solutions on problems
- Must be a quick learner
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Bilingual in French and English
- Ability to work autonomously
- Acts responsibly and holds themselves accountable for their performance
- Takes the initiative to fill whatever need they see
- Make decisions quickly
- Treats everyone with respect and is a model of integrity
- Ability to lift 20 kilograms
- Ability to wear protective gear correctly and act safely while working in plant environment
- 50% travel within Quebec, infrequent travel elsewhere (perhaps between the US and Canada)
- Valid Driver’s license and access to a car

Pay: $55,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
