**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications, price and production demand,
- Forward orders to suppliers, review confirmations to ensure accuracy,
- Monitor order status and adjust when necessary to ensure production schedule is supported,
- Verify accuracy of goods received to items ordered; resolve errors with suppliers,
- Maintain positive relations with suppliers and internal associates while always acting with professional ethics,
- Frequent and operational inter-office communication with Purchasing, Engineering and Production departments,
- Other tasks as may be assigned.

**EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- University Degree or Certificate/Diploma Materials Management or Business Administration, preferred,
- Must have a good understanding of MRP,
- Experience in purchasing / materials management in a manufacturing environment,
- Familiar with standard procurement concepts, practices and techniques but willing to learn industry and company specific practices,
- High level of organizational skills with careful and consistent attention to detail and accuracy,
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with both internal and external clients/vendors/employees,
- Self-motivated, professional and flexible; able to work both independently and as part of a team,
- Strong skills in prioritizing work according to set deadlines,
- Sound analytic thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills,
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
