Situated in Downtown Banff, our busy Head Office coordinates and supports the activities of our hotels, restaurants, spas, cinema, and retail outlets.

Join the Finance team at Banff Caribou Properties as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor (NOC 1212). The Accounts Receivable Supervisor ensures the timely and accurate collection of accounts for Banff Caribou Properties including 13 hotels, 6 restaurants, 2 spas, a cinema, retail store and commercial holdings.

Job Responsibilities and Duties
You will be responsible to resolve late or skipped payments, update financial records, and collect revenue generated by processing invoices. You will oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable cycle through management of accounts receivable business procedures and the collection process. As Banff Caribou Properties continues to grow, your contribution is essential to improve and automate process and functions in the Finance Department. This position reports directly to the Controller.
- Manage collection activities such as negotiating with past-due accounts, referring account to collection agencies, and sending follow-ups
- Ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of all invoices.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming payments from clients
- Accountable for reduced delinquency, enlisting efforts where necessary to accelerate the collections process
- Verify invoicing discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Prepare bank deposits and general ledger postings
- Daily cash reconciliation
- Maintain accurate records and control reports
- Complete tasks relating to month end close
- Liaise with internal and external clients

Qualifications and Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting, collections and or credit
- Superior spreadsheet skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Prior background in an accounts receivable or similar position
- Ability to communicate firmly and clearly with customers
- Strong work ethic with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines
- Self-starter with a proven track record of multi-tasking abilities
- Expertise with various types of accounting / property management software platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly skilled and proficient at verifying financial or transactional data
- Previous hospitality experience is an asset
- Diploma (or higher) in finance or related field is preferred
