Engineering For Kids has been delivering interactive, hands-on S.T.E.M classes and camps in Vancouver since 2021. We strongly believe that children learn best when they're fully immersed and having a great time. And it's just as important for our staff to have fun as well

We’re looking for passionate, enthusiastic **STEM Instructors**who are excited to share this fun (and educational) camp experience with children ages 4-14.
- Training: in-person and online training will be provided before first shift
- Camps: Weekdays 8:30-4:00 pm (camps run 9am -3 pm) during Pro-D days, winter, Spring Break and summer breaks
- Locations: Camps are held at various community centers across Greater Vancouver
- Pay range: $19.50 - 22.00 plus 4% vacation pay. Pay dependent on experience and competencies.

**Primary Responsibilities**:Include, but are not limited to the following:

- Travel to locations and work alongside a co-leader or camp leader to deliver assigned curriculum.
- Provide appropriate instruction that considers the unique abilities of every student
- Create and maintain a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for all
- Develop regular opportunities for student engagement
- Support students in groups and on an individual basis
- Act as a role model for youth who look up to you
- Be professional, courteous and approachable to students, parents, and staff
- Follow policies around creating an inclusive environment, safety, dress code, and other policies
- have a can-do attitude and willing to learn

**Secondary Responsibilities**:

- Guide and support an Assistant Camp Leader (some camps)
- Provide feedback on curriculum

**You are someone who**:

- Has worked with children (experience managing large groups is an asset)
- Can break down and explain challenging concepts in a way that children can relate
- Has experience in the service industry and understands the importance of customer service
- Can communicate clearly and concisely and enjoys speaking in front of groups of children
- Can think on your feet and find solutions to everyday class/camp issues or challenges
- Has a real interest and experience in S.T.E.M fields - particularly: engineering, robotics, coding, Minecraft, 3D printing
- Has a real interest in teaching and engaging children through hands-on play and activities

**Must have/Be willing to obtain**:

- Clean police check to work with children (within last 4 months)
- Personal Laptop
- Vehicle or willing to travel to various locations within Greater Vancouver
- Knowledge and experience in 3D printing, coding, and game developments are strong assets

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Freelance

Pay: $19.50-$22.00 per hour
