Inventory Coordinator

The IC is responsible for the maintenance of inventory( stock used for maintenance) within the warehouses at Dow. Everything within their database SAP must reflect what is going on, so as to paint a clear picture for schedulers engineers, and work coordinators. Soon our 2 IC people will reside in the 521 building adjacent the main warehouse in an office, each having separate computer access. Most of the day spent at the desk but sometimes heading out into the warehouses for inventory purposes.

Maintain inventory for Dow by tracking and ordering
- Determine appropriate vendor and communicate with them to confirm valid part numbers and accurate pricing
- Place orders for material and parts
- Generate quotes for purchases over $5000 USD for approval

Update vendor price changes (SAP & Service Now)
- Verify order details within SAP
- Communication with Mumbai (Dow pricing headquarters) to make changes to PO’s as per vendor
- Ticket requests initiated through the program Service Now
- Verification of ticket execution through SAP
- Follow up through use of disputes button within SAP

Maintaining inventory lists (SAP)
- Check to ensure engineer generated lists for site required inventory list are up to date and accurate
- Update changes in stock code numbers, additions of new items, deletion of no longer required items
- Adjust list to reflect both adds and deletes
- Order all adds needed to maintain required stock level

Inventory counts
- Annual completion of 1/3 of total site inventory for expense valuation product below $6600, physical verification
- Annual completion for total inventory above $6600, physical verification.
- Update SAP to reflect the counts

Repair List for inventory items
- Determine if repairs are being done onsite or offsite
- Issue onsite work to appropriate facility or send to off site vendor for refurbishment
- Determine with vendor if repair is possible or new product required
- Confirmation of repair status and enter into SAP inventory
