Guest Services Agent

As member of Hotel BLU Vancouver Front Office team, the Guest Services Agent plays a key role in attending to the immediate needs of each guest, prior their arrival at the hotel, during their stay and through to their final departure.
- Welcoming guests in a professional, warm, friendly, and efficient manner
- Being proactive to guests’ needs and wants, thinking “outside the box” to provide the most unique and exceptional personal service
- Being able to multi task, with flexibility to work different shifts including weekends and holidays
- Being able to work in a team environment toward a common goal of proving the highest guest satisfaction and to be an ambassador of Hotel BLU
- Being part of our sales culture
**Qualifications**
- Positive, professional, “ can do “ attitude, being a team player is a must
- Being able to “ Take Ownership of the situation/task “ at hand
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Demonstrate ability to work with maximum accuracy, maintaining a keen sense of urgency at all times
- Opera experience is an asset
- Responsible for daily front desk tasks including; warm and sincere welcome of guests upon check in, fond farewell of guests upon check out, cash handling, processing transactions correctly, taking reservations and using every opportunity to upsell
- Being able to work and be flexible with other duties as assigned
- Knowledge of Vancouver is required as this position requires assisting guests with attractions, restaurants, city tours and transportation needs as well as special requests
- Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions
Qualification Standards
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a luxury to ultra-luxury hotel environment.
- Visa Requirements: Proof of eligibility to work in Canada is required.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
