**Receiver Assistant**

Springhill Lumber (Wholesale) Ltd. is looking for an experienced Receiver Assistant for our yard/warehouse. This position is from Monday to Friday with some overtime as required.

**Rate of Pay**: $18.00 to $20.25 CAD (Depending on Experience)

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Load and unload building materials following all safe work requirements;
- Ensure materials received or shipped are counted, materials are correct and cross check against the packing slips/purchase orders;
- Review shipments for defects and shortages against packing slips;
- Completes paper work accordingly and submits a receiving report to Accounts Payable for each shipment received;
- Place stock materials in the appropriate areas of the yard/warehouse, or give to the proper department;
- Schedule inbound shipments as needed;
- Communicating with vendors/customers regarding returns or discrepancies of materials, and charges;
- Ensure customers returns are processed in a timely manner;
- Resolves discrepancies/changes of missing building materials such as counts, sub orders;
- Other duties as required.

**Requirements & Qualifications**:

- Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly on a daily basis.
- Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and ERP systems are considered an asset;
- Forklift Licence desired (but not required) - In house training/testing provided;
- Class 5F driver’s licence;
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills;
- Ability to work well independently with mínimal supervision;
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
- Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
- Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.

**Working Conditions**:

- Exposure to dust and extreme changes in temperature and weather when working outside year around.
- Safety boots and safety equipment are required;
- Busy, high-volume environment.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.25 per hour
