**Technical Support Specialist duties and responsibilities**

Your strong IT technical skills, problem solving skills, and time-management skills are exactly what we’re looking for. Some of the main duties and responsibilities include:

- Communicate with clients to diagnose technical issues
- Provide step-by-step instructions to fix technological issues
- Provide backup solutions whenever necessary
- Provide training sessions for new hardware or software products
- Keep detailed logs of client problems, solutions, and customer satisfaction
- Provide instructions in simple terms
- Work together with other Technical Support Specialists to find solutions to more complex issues.
- Good listeners, Patient and deeply analytical. with an ability to guide customers through the troubleshooting steps necessary to resolve any issues.

**Technical qualifications**
- In-depth knowledge of a wide range of software and hardware products
- PRTG knowledge is a plus
- On site visits to remedy issues / configure equipment.
- Updates and maintains ticketing system.
- Network cabling knowledge and troubleshooting
- Proficient in cell and tablet technology
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills

**Network and Systems Administration**
- Understand standard networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, ISP)
- Configuration and maintenance of routers / firewalls / VPN / switches / wireless APs / network printers.
- Familiar with IP subnetting.
- Experience with VOIP telephony. Build back end and configure infrastructure.
- Windows Server and Active Directory experience to support customer virtual cloud environment.
- Linux basic knowledge a plus.
- Windows and NAS file server administration.
- Backup and recover. Veeam and others Backup solution is a plus
- Hyper-V and VMware knowledge and hands on

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Working knowledge of computer systems, peripherals, and communications equipment.
- Working knowledge of computer networking and cabling infrastructure.
- Ability to work under mínimal supervision and within a team environment.
- Self-motivated to learn and acquire new skills.
- Poses excellent problem-solving skills
- Valid Ontario driver's license in good standing with vehicle

**Salary**: $700.00-$800.00 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Remote
