SEO Specialist – Local Search & Google Business Support

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented SEO Specialist to support our growing portfolio of clients, with a focus on Local SEO and Google Business Profile (GBP) management. This role involves maintaining high-quality local search visibility through strategic posting, profile optimization, outreach, link-building, and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Google Business Profile Management

  • Create and publish relevant, engaging GBP posts.
  • Update and maintain services, products, descriptions, and profile details.
  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews in a professional, consistent manner.
  • Ensure profiles follow current best practices for visibility and compliance.

Local SEO Execution

  • Use tools such as BrightLocal and Semrush to track rankings, audits, citations, and competitive insights.
  • Support link-building and outreach initiatives that strengthen local authority.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and implement updates across client profiles and supporting assets.
  • Monitor local search trends and recommend improvements.

Content, Design & Tools

  • Use Canva to create clear, visually consistent graphics for GBP posts when required.
  • Use AI tools to support content drafting, research, and workflow efficiency.
  • Apply SEO and analytics software to measure performance and guide decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing and optimizing Google Business Profiles.
  • Strong understanding of Local SEO fundamentals, including citations, reviews, ranking factors, and on-platform engagement.
  • Experience with BrightLocal, Semrush, or similar SEO platforms.
  • Ability to manage link-building and outreach tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency with Canva for basic design work.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an SEO, digital marketing, or local search role.
  • Familiarity with additional SEO tools, automation platforms, or reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote or distributed team environment.
