As an Estimator for the **multi-family division,** you are responsible for preparing feasibility studies, cost estimates, updating and maintaining pricing, preparing purchase orders, managing relationships with trades & consultants, providing estimating support, and reviewing drawings & specifications.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare estimates for multifamily projects including quantity takeoffs, cost projections for subtrades, labour, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain estimating databases including subcontractor costs, unit rates, labour rates, material pricing, and project costs.
- Prepare Tender Packages including instructions to bidders, scopes of work, and tender clarifications.
- Prepare pricing options and pricing strategy in conjunction with Sales & Marketing.
- Perform value engineering analysis to explore cost-saving opportunities and recommend alternative methods or materials.
- Generate and prepare draft subcontract and/or material purchase orders.

**Qualifications**
- 7-10 years of estimating experience
- 5+ years of experience in multifamily wood frame construction
- Previous estimating experience with multifamily projects, wood, and concrete structures
- Proficiency with construction and estimating software - Sage Estimating, Procore, PlanSwift, or BlueBeam
- Calgary Mid-Rise Residential Construction Building Codes
- Knowledge with plan reading and technical construction
- Independent self-starter with high degree of initiative
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a high stress, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
