Jawl Bundon LLP is a busy downtown mid-sized law firm of 11 lawyers and 16 staff. We are seeking an amazing support person to join our team as a legal assistant for two of our junior lawyers.

General duties include:

- File opening, organization, and management
- Drafting correspondence to clients and counsel
- Receiving and prioritizing incoming correspondence
- Preparing and editing legal documents as directed
- Filing legal documents through Court Services Online
- Preparing accounts and following up with clients as required
- Setting examinations for discovery, mediations, and various court dates
- Maintaining lawyers’ calendars and ensuring deadlines and limitations are met
- Conducting land title searches
- Other general administrative support services as required

- Takes pride in their quality of work
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Stays calm under pressure and eager to take on challenges
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong technical skills, including experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe

Qualifications that are a nice-to-have:

- A graduate of a recognized legal assistant program in British Columbia
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- One to three years of recent experience in a law office

- $40,000 to $50,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
