RCT is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Human Resources Assistant who will provide support to Senior Manager - Finance & Administration and perform human resources functions as detailed below: - Schedule interviews in conjunction with managers and ensure that the relevant documentation and activities are completed (pre-screens, interview forms/tests and reference checks) of new recruits (youth and volunteers) to the program - Ensure that the mandatory training is assigned and scheduled for all new youth interns and follow up on training completion - Maintain detailed records on a consistent basis for all youth and volunteer participants, including hire date, demographics, employment period and terminations (voluntary/involuntary) - Assist with mid-term and end of term evaluations on youth and volunteers and ensuring that documentation is completed in a timely manner and copies are maintained in personnel files - Coordinate with managers and ensure that final paperwork is complete for all youth interns - Generate reports and statistical records based on program and other requirements within a strict reporting timetable, using applicable database tools and prescribed templates - Maintain personnel files, ensuring that required paperwork in completed at commencement, during and end of the participant’s term with the organization - Participate in meetings with partners organizations with respect to the recruitment efforts of the organization, as required - Participate in the organization of periodic staff events - Participate in monthly workplace inspections and quarterly Health & Safety Meetings - Document minutes of Health & Safety meetings and follow up on action items **Qualification and Experience**: - Post secondary level achievement and /or qualifications in Human Resources - A minimum of two years administrative experience supporting senior level managers - Familiarity with employment standards, human rights and workplace safety requirements **Knowledge and Skills**: - Strong computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook) - Proven ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of work with extreme accuracy - Excellent communication skills: verbal and written - Highly organized and detail oriented, with proven ability to meet deadlines - Confidential **CFS+ Program requirements**: This position is an ESDC funded program under the Youth Employment Strategy program and has strict qualifying criteria as follows: - Applicants must be between the ages of **16 and 30 years**: - A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada **work/study permits do not qualify for this program**: - Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations - Must not be previous participants in a ESDC youth funded program Contract term: Approximately 7-8 months Required to work full-time and on site at the Mississauga Head Office location Hiring range: $18 - $20 per hour (37.5 hours per week) depending on experience **Job Types**: Full-time, Internship / Co-op Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.50 per week Schedule: - 8 hour shift Application question(s): - Do you meet the "CFS+ Program requirements" listed in the posting? **Education**: - Bachelor's Degree (preferred) **Experience**: - Human resources: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-01-17 Expected start date: 2025-01-13
