What We Are Looking For:

- 2+ years of experience managing and coordinating construction projects working with contract bids, quotations, drawings and specifications.
- General knowledge of how to estimate and track the cost of materials, labour, and equipment needed for construction projects.
- Ability to implement economic measures which reduce spending and improve budgeting.
- Ability to navigate the tendering process, recommend tenders, and conduct negotiations.
- Ability to deliver clear/effective directions and request/compare quotations from various subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining strong industry contacts.
- Ability to read and interpret plans/drawings, and purchase appropriate quantities of materials needed in a timely manner.

**Job Description**:
The estimator will make the necessary calculations for pricing of tenders by studying project documents and analyzing quantities of specific change orders for extras. This person shall be responsible for preparing pre-qualification/tender submissions, then presenting them to clients. The estimator will be suggesting subcontractor requirements, and computing quantities using estimating software. Ability to create basic excel spreadsheets is required. The estimator must ensure that worksheets and related take-off forms/submittals are presented in a way that is understandable.

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday
