Estimator/account Manager

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented **Estimator & Account Manager** to join our team.

**Job Purpose**
The Estimator & Account Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of estimates, including materials and labor, for projects in our Retail, Commercial, and Builder divisions. This role involves regular communication with home builders and/or commercial clients to gather information, clarify requirements, prepare orders from client selections and purchase orders, and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate before hand-off to the Production department.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Review scopes of work, project drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to gather all necessary details.
- Prepare accurate take-offs manually and using RFMS Measure software from builder and/or commercial drawings/plans.
- Develop precise estimates for sales staff as needed.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of all final estimate packages before formal quotations are issued.
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and final tender documents for submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Follow up on quotes and proposals to determine outcomes and offer additional support as needed.
- Maintain and update lead lists.
- Attend pre-tender and construction site meetings when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with home builders and commercial clients.
- Prospect for new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships.
- Respond promptly to client price requests.
- Prepare and price upgrade packages for builders, assist with gathering samples, and help maintain design centers as needed.
- Accurately transfer material and installation instructions from client selections/finish schedules to Order Entry.
- Maintain organized files for each client/project, including up-to-date supplier and installer pricing.
- Stay informed about our range of flooring and window covering products, benefits, warranties, new trends, and installation methods.
- Participate in product and sales training sessions as applicable.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure, especially with bid deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of flooring products and residential construction is an asset.
- Familiarity with construction contract requirements, estimating, and bid documents.
- Diploma or post-secondary education in a construction-related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle may be required.

**Working Conditions**
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to client sites, worksites, design centers, and industry events.
- Site visits may require safety footwear and walking on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, with occasional overtime required.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
