Production Line Leader

**Job Overview**:
We are currently looking for a mechanically skilled Production Line Leader to oversee our panel division. The Line Leader will be responsible for operating the continuous steel insulated machine, performing routine mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance, and ensuring adherence to all quality standards, safety procedures, company policies, and operational protocols. You will also be overseeing a small team of 2-3 panel team members, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

**Schedule**: The shift time for this position is from **6:00am -2:30pm**, Monday - Friday. Occasional overtime work may be required.

**Job Duties**:

- Ensure machines are operating within established parameters.
- Verify that products are correctly identified according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation.
- Record all required machine operational data.
- Prepare and ensure machinery is ready for operation.
- Load and unload sheet metal coils and BOPP coils.
- Assist with loading products for shipment.
- Assign tasks to panel team members as needed.
- Conduct meetings with panel team members when necessary.
- Report any equipment maintenance or repair issues to the Plant Manager, Production Supervisors, and Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols based on WorkSafeBC and company safety standards.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Forklift certification.
- Crane operation certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of machine operation experience.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service and repair.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic math skills.
- Understanding of QMS (Quality Management System) as it relates to this position.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
