**POSITION INFORMATION**

**CLASSIFICATION**:Educator
- unionized position (Maternity Leave 10 months)

**DEPARTMENT**

**Flexible Care Program** - Open 6 days a week. Days, evenings and weekend hours for childcare.

**Current operating Hours**:
Possibility of schedule changing to 10 working hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off in future.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

RECE - College of ECE Membership (preferably)

Standard First Aid and CPR

Police Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector

**SKILLS, ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE**
- Experience working with children
- Fluent in English written and verbal.
- Flexible
- Positive attitude
- Willingness to learn and work in a team setting
- Computer literacy skills
- Capacity to advocate for children and their families and work with a variety of family dynamics
- Acting as a role model for co-workers and students by promoting positive relationships in the work environment and setting professional goals and objectives for the program
- Supervision of volunteers and students
- Laundry and cleaning experience.
- Cooking and/or reheating of food

**SHIFT**

Monday - Saturday - each staff work 5 days a week - 7.5hrs shifts between the hours of 6:30 am to 9:30 pm

Possibility of schedule changing to 10 working hour shifts, 4 days on and 4 days off in future

**RATE OF PAY**

**RECE** Rate $20.55per hr (probation period) + government grants + benefits

**Non RECE** Rate $17.83 (probation period) + $2.00 WEG + benefits

Annual increase as per the Collective Agreement

**START DATE**

December 2nd2024
