As a team member, the Scheduling and Orientation Coordinator will adhere to all the agency’s Policies and Procedures and promote the concept of community inclusion.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Collaborate with Team Leads and Managers to maintain schedules for all programs and day to day operations;
- Assist orienting new support workers both onsite and online;
- Resolve all scheduling conflicts as necessary in a friendly and appropriate manner;
- Continuously improve scheduling functions through innovative thinking;
- Clearly communicate scheduling needs with all staff in a respectful demeanor;
- Provide training to new staff on the scheduling system, as required;
- Input office orientation into unit schedules;
- Coordinate shift coverage for unplanned vacancies (such as call-ins).

As Required Tasks
- Ensure Unit Schedule Employee List is up to date with appropriate permissions
- Creation of new Unit Schedules, as needed
- Input training and staff meetings into Unit Schedules;
- Approve shifts that have not been sent for approval to Team Leads/Managers due to a request change;
- Adjust Schedule Templates;
- Adjust and post Unit Schedules.
- Completing documentation that is consistent with Care Human Services' policies and procedures.
- Care Human Services supports Individuals 24/7, these positions are rotation based, and shifts occur all day and throughout the night

Our work sites are home to therapeutic animals, including cats and dogs.

**WHAT YOU NEED**
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector;
- Class 5 Alberta Non GDL Drivers License;
- Must be 18 years old to apply;

- High level of communication and observation skills;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an engaging and friendly approach;
- The ability to remain calm when communicating in difficult situations;
- Work independently and as part of a team;
- High attention to detail;
- Be caring and compassionate, with a passion to make a difference in the community;
- Critical thinker and able to use common sense when presented with a high stress situation;
- Post-secondary education in any area of Human Services would be an asset and previous experience working in a similar role is highly advantageous, but not required;
- Preference for minimum two (2) years of progressive scheduling experience or graduation from an Administrative Assistant program.

**POSITION AVAILABLE**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00/hour with a wage increase to $24.00/hour after completion of your 3 month probationary period

Schedule:
On call 5:00 am-7:00 am, in person 9:00am - 5:00pm Thursday - Monday
