- Job Description
Reporting to: The Business Centre Manager, the Outside Sales Representative will develop profitable sales with a focus on Fire equipment & Safety and acquiring and developing new accounts. The Outside Sales Representative will ensure that our customers expectations are consistently met, maximizing our market share.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Generate sales reports each week and submit them to management;
- Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers;
- Develop profitable incremental sales to new and existing accounts;
- Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the company’s marketing presence in the territory;
- Support the inside Salespeople to foster excellent customer service, operational efficiency and account profitability;
- Ensure in-depth and current knowledge of customers, as well as strengths and weaknesses of competitors;
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with your customers and vendor representatives;
- Develop solutions to address customer issues;
- Provide accurate market intelligence to the Business Centre Manager and other members of the sales team;
- Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales and experience within the Fire & Safety industry knowledge would be an asset;
- Industry knowledge involving Gas Detection, Fall Protection and Breathing Protection is an asset.
- Patience and ability to tactfully handle customer negotiations;
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no supervision;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with an attention to detail;
- Must have a flair for selling and building relationships with individuals and organizations;
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is an asset.
