Outside Sales Representative

**Summary**
The Outside Sales Representative is a key customer facing, sales and support role. This role will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of accounts as well as supporting the sales team with customer inquiries, new product listings, marketing initiatives and other key sales and business objectives.
**We are looking for someone who can**:
- Build relationships with customers by proactively following up on inquiries
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and service
- Work with sales representatives to develop new opportunities
- Provide research and information customers to generate new opportunities with existing customers and prospects
- Participate with new product launches and campaigns
- Update and maintain information in the company customer database
- Maintain customer portals and keep product information up to date
- Assist with creating listing sheets
- Assist sales team with special projects, preparation of presentations, custom reports and other initiatives as required
- Travel occasionally to trade shows and customer specific events
- **Must have valid passport to be able to cross an international border**_
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in sales
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to make excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives.
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational, planning and communication skills.
- Motivated and creative team player.
- Computer literate with proficiency using basic programs such as Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Reader. Experience using Visual 2000, VIBE an asset.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures.
- Ability to travel to visit and cater to customers and attend sales events and trade shows.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Requires mental and visual concentration.
- Strong attention to detail i.e. entering in orders accurately and efficiently
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
