Summerhill Market is looking for a dedicated and hands-on **Retail Deli Manager** to lead our Deli team at the **Rosedale** location. In this key leadership role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Deli department—ensuring our customers receive the highest quality products, service, and shopping experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Team Leadership & People Management**
- Supervise, train, and motivate Deli team members to meet performance and service standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Oversee scheduling, task delegation, and ensure smooth shift operations.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for staff.

**Inventory Management & Ordering**
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing waste and shrink.
- Manage ordering based on store needs, sales trends, and promotional activity.
- Ensure all products meet freshness, rotation, and quality standards.

**Customer Service Excellence**
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service—engaging with customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns.
- Promote a clean, welcoming, and customer-focused department atmosphere.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, sanitation, and product handling.

**Merchandising & Stocking**
- Execute visually appealing and organized displays to drive sales and highlight key items.
- Coordinate planograms, signage, and promotional placement in collaboration with store leadership.
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, properly rotated, and compliant with food safety and labelling standards.

**What You Bring**
- **3+ years of experience** in a supervisory or management role in a deli or food retail environment.
- Strong **people management** and leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and growing teams.
- Excellent **organizational and time management** abilities, especially in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of **inventory control, ordering practices**, and vendor communication.
- Exceptional **customer service** skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of **safe food handling standards** and health regulations.
- Ability to lift and move products as needed (up to 50 lbs).
